My story is one of extreme dedication. I was cut from the basketball team 4 years in a row from 6th grade to freshman year. I made the decision after the 4th time I was cut that I was going to be better than every other kid that made it over me. Dedication requires that you consistently show up every day, working at whatever your goal is. I don’t believe you can take days off and still be fully dedicated to whatever you say you are. There are ways to improve your mind and body every single day, and dedication is following those steps to achieve your goal. Over the next 3.5 years, I worked as hard as my body would possibly let me, and I ended up being one of two basketball players to play Division 1 basketball in the Sacramento area.
